Application of "Penetrating Heaven Coolness" on LI11 & SP10 for Skin disorders

(1) LI11 and SP10 are both popular points for skin disorders. LI11 is especially for upper body and SP10 is especially for lower body. However, many of you may have the experience that these two points do not work well in the clinic.

(2) You can apply simple "Penetrating Heaven Coolness" technique on them.
1. Insert 2 cun on those points first and lift 0.5 cun slowly. (1.5 cun left)
2. In 10 minutes, lift another 0.5 cun slowly. (1 cun left)
3. In 10 minutes, lift another 0.5 cun slowly. (0.5 cun left)
4. In 10 minutes, take out the needle slowly and keep the hole open.

(3) So, in 30 minutes of treatment time, you can use "Penetrating Heaven Coolness" in steps. This technique is very important for skin problem because most of the skin problem has Heat in the Ying level. Such technique will provide the similar effect as Mu Dan Pi, Sheng Di Huang and Chi Shao.

(4) In addition, let me introduce a good formula for any skin problem. (You can modify and change the dosage for different patterns)
Yin Qiao Shu Feng Tang: Jin Yin Hua, Lian Qiao, Chi Shao, Sheng Di, Mu Dan Pi, Gan Cao, Huang Qin, Cang Er Zi, Chan Tui

Application of "Penetrating Heaven Coolness" on ST36 for Gout

(1) You can use similar technique on the ST36 over the side with Gout. (You can add other distal points.)
1. Insert 2 cun on those points first and lift 0.5 cun slowly. (1.5 cun left)
2. In 10 minutes, lift another 0.5 cun slowly. (1 cun left)
3. In 10 minutes, lift another 0.5 cun slowly. (0.5 cun left)
4. In 10 minutes, take out the neelde slowly and keep the hole open.

(2) This treatment is very effective in treating Gout, but without such technique on ST36, the treatment may still have analgesic effect during the treatment, however, the pain can come back after you remove the needle.
