Ringworm of the nail (Tinea unguium)

Pattern: LV Blood deficiency
Dang Gui ..... 10g
Bai Shao ..... 10g
Mai Men Dong ..... 10g
Shan Zhu Yu ..... 10g
Mu Gua ..... 10g
Shu Di Huang ..... 15g
Chuan Xiong ..... 6g
Gan Cao ..... 6g
Bu Gu Zhi ..... 6g
He Shou Wu ..... 12g
Sang Shen ..... 12g
Gou Qi Zi ..... 12g

Tinea unguium is caused by infection of the finger or toe nail plate by dermatophytes. It may occur due to direct infection by fungi as a result of external injury to the nail, or may develope simultaneously with tinea manuum or tinea pedis.
