Clinical indication of GB12 (Wan Gu)

1. Name: Completion bone (Wan Gu).  Name of SI4 and GB12 is "WAN GU". Although chinese chracter is different, but similar pronounciation. When SI4 is painful, GB12 can be needled or vice versa

2. Memory: Storehouse of memory.  Caution: if needled too long, Patients may drain their past memory

3. Hypnosis point: helps to forget everything and asleep

4. Anesthesia point: possibly numb the brain nerve

5. Best point for Insomnia: GB12 and Anmian are very closely located.  For severe insomnia, needle GB12, HT4, UB17 and moxa RN4

6. Acupuncture only: Only for acupuncture, needle toward opposite side of eye (* Moxa is applicable in CAM)

7. SCM: Top point of sternocleidomastoid muscle, so used for pain of sternocleidomastoid muscle

8. Eye: When the root of eyes are painful, needle opposite side of GB12
